Interested in Backpacking but not sure where to begin? This is the trip for you! Join Solstice Adventure Co., for this small-group, weekend learning adventure. You’ll learn the ins-and-outs of trip planning, gear selection, packing, outdoor cooking and risk management all while enjoying the beauty of Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail.
On this 2 1/2-day, 2 night weekend adventure women will experience the wonders of backpacking through a section of Wisconsin’s Ice Age Trail. You’ll spend 2 1/2 days & 2 nights in the wilderness as you travel on foot with Solstice’s owner & experienced backcountry trip leader Amy Boelk. Not only will you learn and use practical outdoor skills, you’ll also share stories around camp and enjoy the healing and relaxation that only the solitude of nature can bring. Perfect for first-time backpackers, this trip will bring together like-minded women seeking an empowering, hands-on educational experience in a small-group setting.
No backpack? No Problem- if you are beginning backpacker and are worried about whether or not you want to make the investment in purchasing your own backpack for this trip, we recommend our backpack rental add-on. You’ll be able to use one of our high-quality packs . Need more personal gear? Add the ‘Sleep System Rental’ to your checkout. This bundle includes: 50-75 Liter Backpack, 20-30 degree Sleeping Bag, Stuff Sack and Lightweight Sleeping Mat.
